10 Ways to Cope With Stress

Hey there,
Hope you are doing well.
Today, I want to talk about a few ways that can help you cope with stress. Stress is something everyone deals with at some point in their life. It’s certainly not a great feeling, but it can build strength by building skills you need to cope with and adapt to new situations throughout your life.
By using healthy ways to cope and eliminate stress, you can really put what is causing you stress in perspective. Being conscious of your body during times of stress can allow you to take action and be able to alleviate the unnecessary stress.
10 Ways to Cope with Stress:
1. Take care of yourself. Don’t skip meals and eat mindfully
By making sure you are eating properly and putting the right fuel in your body, you will ensure that your body won’t be depleted of any nutrients in your body, which can make the stress more unbearable. While you are going through the turbulence and effects of stress, make sure to really take good care of you — your body and soul needs you! If you are an emotional eater, try taking a shower or bath — this will allow your brain to rethink its actions.
2. Drink enough water
Make sure to be hydrated so you are not feeling low and weakened. You don’t want to feel dehydrated and stressed at the same time. By drinking water, which your body needs, you can easily calm your body and take a moment to yourself, while giving yourself boost of energy.
3. Take a B-complex and Vitamin C (Both are depleted with stress)
Stress can deplete you of nutrients in your body such as b vitamins and vitamin C. B-complex is known to help boost your mood. B-Complex is also important to ensure your bodily functions are working properly during times of stress. It is crucial your body feels its best. Vitamin C is also essential for various reasons and should certainly be replenished during this time.
4. Meditate
This is probably the best and most effective thing you can do. Even if you are in public and are not in a space where you are able to meditate, you can find ways to take a moment even just for one minute. You can do a body scan while even being in public, which by being aware you can really tune into what is stressing you and how you can eliminate it. You may even want to go to the bathroom and do a quick three minute meditation there.
5. Take a walk outside
Nature has a way of calming us down. Stop what you’re doing and take a breather. Go outside and notice the trees and the air. Let your mind calm down and let your body get some exercise. This world is really beautiful and you get a chance to experience it everyday, enjoy it!
6. Don’t spend more money than you earn
This one is more so to prevent stress. Many people don’t notice this is the cause of their stress. Make sure to budget yourself well, so that you won’t be worrying about your bills or savings — which leads to stress.
7. Say no to people who stress you
This seems like a no brainer, but we all forget to do it. We sometimes don’t notice how much stress someone is putting on us and we put our feelings aside and learn to cope with them. I’m proud of you and your brain to be able to cope with it, but I want you to feel it out — don’t ignore it. For once, I want you to take the easy way out and just say no. The only time taking the easy way out is respected. Don’t allow them to mess with your inner peace.
8. Rest and wait for another day
This one is also simple. Just let it be. Remember there are 365 days in a year, not all of them are going to be your best days. Feel it out, go to bed, and wait for another day.
9. Don’t carry whatever that is causing the stress on your shoulders
Learn to let go of what is causing you stress. It’s very easy for us to carry someone else’s problems on our shoulders, especially if it involves a loved one. It’s not fair to you or your health to carry someone else’s stress on your shoulders. Take a backseat approach and just be there for that person. Life always has a way of figuring itself out, don’t fret over something that is out of your control.
10. Exercise and consciously take notice of how your body is feeling
This is important. Working up a sweat can allow you to get rid of mental and physical stress. Exercising will allow you to get away from the situation and let your mind be free. It will also allow you to boost the happy chemicals in your brain.
That is all of my tips, guys. Hope you can implement some of these tips next time you have any signs of stress. Make sure to meditate and practice mindfulness each day to get closer to your soul and body to allow all of these steps to be more powerful!
Thank you for reading.
Until next time,
