Sephora Haul – Fall 2017
As some of you know I used to work at Sephora and it was great, but financially, not so great. Last week they had friends and family coupon floating around, and thanks to one of my old colleagues, I was able to shop with a 20% discount! Now, for all of my makeup lovers, that is a BIG deal. I am also excited that the next 20% VIB sale is coming in a few days. My bank account, on the other hand, is crying sad, sad tears. I also had a 20% off at Ulta this past weekend, which of course, I HAD to use. Gosh, I sound like a makeup addict…oh because I am! 🙂
Anyways, getting on to the important part. The thing that I want you guys to know is that, more than ever, I have noticed more and more makeup products launching and makeup is becoming bigger than ever. 2 years ago, when I worked at Sephora, there weren’t nearly all the products that exist today, albeit, the whole store was still filled with so much makeup. What I am trying to get to is that all these new brands and new products make it enticing to spend all of your money on their new products and you really don’t have to. Be mindful about it. See if you have something similar in your collection and see if you can recreate a look with what you have. Don’t feel like you have to have a product because you might actually not need it. You should only get it if it’s something that’ll make you a whole lot happier. 🙂
Perks of being a beauty insider is getting a lot of free stuff once your points have built up. I tend to like ordering online more because they have a bigger variety of options to choose from. So some of the stuff I got is free!
Let’s start with the star of the show:
Huda Beauty Desert Dusk Palette
This is easily my new favorite palette. It is the most perfect thing my eyes have ever seen and touched. Not only does it look pretty, but it is also so blend-able, beginner friendly, and doesn’t have too much kick back. I’m pretty sure I love every shade. It is on the pricier side with it retailing at $65, but honestly I can tell how hard Huda worked on this – it shows and I appreciate that so much. You can tell she cares and wants to deliver the best products. At least it’s not as expensive as the other products that are coming out at Sephora like Pat McGrath or Natasha Denona.
Living proof. Dry Shampoo
As many of you know from my September favorites (wow, I can’t believe it’s November already!), this is my recent ride-or-die dry shampoo, so I had to pick up more. This one came in a package of two and was only $22. It comes one with a travel size and one large size. It is perfect for me because the smaller one I can easily take to the gym.
Too Faced Tis the Season to Sparkle
This is part of their holiday collection and I am loving the range of glitter. I’ve always wanted a white glitter so this was really the selling point for me. I haven’t tried them yet, but for the price point ($24), I thought they were worth it and these would be so fun to create glittery looks for the holidays. If I do end up liking them, I will let you guys know either on Instagram or on a favorites post.
ERBORIAN – Yuza Sorbet Night
I didn’t know I needed a night time face moisturizer until I found this. Okay, maybe I did know, but I’ve been lacking in that department. This is the most amazing thing that has ever touched my face. It feels so amazing. If you have dry skin, you are going to LOVE this. Even if you have other types of skin, you still need a ‘heavier’ moisturizer at night because that is when our skin does the most turnaround and renewal. This is enriched with 12 plant extracts, butters and oils and smells so amazing. I highly recommend this, I will not use any other moisturizer for night time.
Farsali – Unicorn Essence Mini
I’ve been seeing this all over Instagram videos and have been so interested to try myself. I understand why everyone makes a video of this because its so pretty going down your face! It is pink with glitters, but dries up clear and gives you a beautiful glow. It’s a serum that you can use before applying your makeup. So essentially, it is a primer before your primer. It protects you from free radical damage, which we all need in order to slow down the aging process. It says that this is a good serum for dry skin, loss of elasticity and dullness. I really love how it makes my skin look and feel and I totally understand the hype now!
On to the free stuff I got:
This time around, I feel like I got lucky with free stuff and it made me rationalize my purchases and made it feel like it was all okay to spend my money like a reckless woman. 🙂
I used my 500 points to get the Caudalie Grape Glow Getters kit. Caudalie is a really natural brand and I never had a problem using their products. I wanted to get this kit because I needed things for on-the-go or for when I go to the gym. I will keep the mask at home, but it is amazing, if you haven’t tried it, I would highly recommend it.
I also decided to try another Living proof. product as I’ve had such a good experience with the dry shampoo. I chose the Living proof. perfecting spray, which I haven’t tried yet, but will let you guys know in another post if I do! I have a good feeling I will like it, I don’t think Living proof. can go wrong with any of their products.
Jack Black face moisturizer is for my boyfriend. It’s a really good moisturizer for the face and for men. It’s all natural and paraben free, and seeing that my boyfriend currently doesn’t use anything, I think he will like this!
Black Opium and Miss Dior perfume mini’s. I was so excited to see that they had the Black Opium perfume as an option for free stuff you can pick because I’ve been obsessed with it! I’ve also always loved Miss Dior so that was also a win! I’m not as into heavy perfumes as much as I used to so the Black Opium works best for me, but I am in the market for natural perfume’s that smell nice. I might make a concoction myself with essential oils!
It Cosmetics CC cream is another free sample I received. Haven’t tried it yet, but thought, once again, it’d be perfect for my gym bag!
Make Up Forever Artist Collection Blush. This is a mini 100 points blush and again, building up that gym bag essentials, I got this so it would be easy for on-the-go. It is beautiful and is a natural finish.
I think that is all from my haul this time! What are you guys eyeing at Sephora and are excited to get when the sale comes around? For me, I think I really want to get a package of beauty blenders that are only $65 and with a 20% discount, it would only be about $52. I think it’s worth it for 4 beauty blenders, which makes them about $13 a piece when they are usually about $20!
Let me know in the comments below!
Wishing you all a beautiful, fabulous, no-lipstick on teeth type of day! 🙂

Wow, what a gorgeous palette! My eyes are immediately drawn to Cosmo and Twilight. Such pretty colors! I might have to drop some $$ at Sephora soon because I’d love to cash in some points on the MUF blush. I totally agree on Living Proof–everything they do is great. I have their Full Dry Volume Blast spray, and it’s amazing. Anyway, lovely post, and I really enjoyed your writing 🙂
Yes! Same I love all of the glitter shades, so unique and beautiful! I will have to try the volume spray, I’m sure it is great 😊and thank you for your kind words!! ❤️
