Don’t Let Others Write Your Story
No one can dictate your success except you. It’s so easy to put yourself down and compare yourself to others. Opinions of others are not a reflection of you and they do not make or break you.
Anything worthwhile in life will have the judgers, the cynics, the ones that will tear you down. Know your worth and know where your values lie. Don’t let those people ruin your path. It’s not going to feel good, but I can promise you it will be worth it.
Then do the most unbelievable, worthwhile thing this universe has to offer — go follow your passion!
No one really knows what this life is all about. Some have it more figured out than others but they were where you are now once and they fought their way to figure it out.
The only way to “figure it out” is to go experience life, to try new things, to go after your fears, to do the things that make you feel uncomfortable, to go the path that is unknown and you are not sure where it will lead you. Those types of experiences will build character and build strength. Along the way, don’t let others’ opinion of you deter your direction nor your actions.
Let the voices of others come and go. Let the words of others be just that…words. Keep climbing your mountain to reach that crazy dream of yours. Keep being a fighter. Keep it inside you and once you reach the top, let others’ be shocked.
Don’t listen to the naysayers. They don’t know your story and they don’t know what you are capable of. You are in the midst of creating your empire, don’t let anyone shake your process!
The most important thing to realize is other people don’t know how to write your story — not even your parents. They might come up to you and make suggestion on how you should, but don’t you dare listen and let that take a hold on you. You know what’s best for you and what your soul is asking of you, listen to that voice — it already knows what you need to do.
Keep your head up, keep quite and grind it out every single day. Every success begins with a small win each day. Do not ever let what others say let you perceive this world any differently.
Another important thing to consider is to never check out because of self-doubt. Let those thoughts come, recognize them, and then let them go. Thoughts are just thoughts. They don’t need to be who you are, so don’t let them become and consume you.
Don’t get too attached to your past ways and your past habits. You can change them with the right type of mindset. It will take time, but if you keep working at it, you will find a way. This comes to mind about anything new that you are learning, whether that is learning the piano or how to ride a bike, you have to keep going and keep trying and one day, it just happens for you. This is called being persistent.
An easy road is not the way because there is no such thing – unfortunately or perhaps fortunately for our growth, we were not given a life with an easy road. Realizing that living is difficult, but stay hungry and work on yourself to make it less difficult. Everyone has been given something that they will need to deal with. Hardships build character. It is necessary to be able to take on whatever comes your way.
The other day, I came across something that someone said about pain and hardships. She said that hardships are kind of like going to the gym and lifting weights, the heavier the weight the more muscles will be built and the heavier the hardships in your life, the stronger you will become. I hope that you can see that whilst going through what you are going through. You will become unshakable and be your own hero of your story.
To transform yourself in every single way is the best thing you can do for yourself. You control your destiny and your future. You have everything you need to get started right this moment. All you have to do is keep going. You know how to write your own story. Think about your outcome and don’t ever let someone else have a piece of say in how to write it.
This is your moment, keep killin’ it!
