No one can dictate your success except you. It’s so easy to put yourself down and compare yourself to others. Opinions of others are not a reflection of you and they do not make or break you.
Anything worthwhile in life will have the judgers, the cynics, the ones that will tear you down. Know your worth and know where your values lie. Don’t let those people ruin your path. It’s not going to feel good, but I can promise you it will be worth it.
Growing up, particularly in my high school years, I used to obsess over zodiac signs.
I found them to be intriguing and quite spot on. Or maybe I just had too much time on my hands as I wasn’t into sports nor felt like I had any other talents. Binge watching Lost got kind of old and I headed towards a different obsession and that was zodiac signs.
Many people don’t give zodiac signs the time of day because they think they are not real and are made up. Especially in high school, I felt like no one cared and there was little me trying to talk to people about it and no one cared. So, I decided to keep it to myself. Now, a lot of my friends are into it, I’m like really, you couldn’t have cared when I was obsessed with them!?
I love listening to worship songs when I am in a mellow mood or after church on Sundays.
The words sung are so beautiful and the melody is so calming. I believe when you do things to ground yourself and to connect with your core, it is a beautiful moment worth experiencing.
Every religion is beautiful, and every religion has a common purpose which is to be a virtuous human being. There is nothing to hate about that. Religion teaches us to love one another and to have compassionate hearts, if that is not beautiful I don’t know what is.
Maybe my choice of songs are not related to your religion and not what will ground you, but I hope it gets you thinking about your religion and what you can do to feel connected to that.
As some of you know I used to work at Sephora and it was great, but financially, not so great. Last week they had friends and family coupon floating around, and thanks to one of my old colleagues, I was able to shop with a 20% discount! Now, for all of my makeup lovers, that is a BIG deal. I am also excited that the next 20% VIB sale is coming in a few days. My bank account, on the other hand, is crying sad, sad tears. I also had a 20% off at Ulta this past weekend, which of course, I HAD to use. Gosh, I sound like a makeup addict…oh because I am! 🙂
Hey guys, today I am doing something a little different and have a guest post by a fellow blogger. I want to say thank you again to Hayley for sharing this with us and I hope you guys get something from this. I can definitely relate to anxiety and hope how Hayley’s way of coping with anxiety is helpful for you all. xxoo
